Driving Improvement Program for Louisiana – 19th JDC

Upon completion of this approved National Safety course, the court can set aside a conviction for a misdemeanor traffic violation. A dismissed charge will not become a part of the person’s official driving record. The Defensive Driving Course uses state-of-the-art animation, sound and graphics in an engaging, interactive learning environment where students analyze real driving situations, spot driving hazards and identify and execute the correct defenses. Certificate Process

Upon completion of the course, you will be able to print a certificate. You may mail in the certificate and a money order or cashier’s check to pay your fine. Money orders and cashier’s checks must be made Payable to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and must be for the exact amount of the ticket. The certificate and payment can be mailed care of the 19th Judicial District Court Traffic Office to PO Box 3202, Baton Rouge, LA, 70821. Please be advised that it may take up to 3 weeks for your payment to be processed.
